Memmingen/Hamburg, 23rd November 2023 – ACM Aerospace (Aircraft Cabin Modification GmbH) is expanding its leadership team: Jens Damian will take over the role of Head of Engineering & Operational Excellence starting January 1, 2024. This appointment marks an important step in the ongoing effort to continue strengthening the company through experienced and versatile talents.
Jens Damian, formerly the COO of Vartan.Aero GmbH, was responsible for the areas of Operations, IT, Quality, and Customer Support, overseeing more than 350 employees. His career at the Vartan Groupe included several senior positions, including Director of Quality & Business Improvement and Group Process & Controlling Manager. With his education as an aircraft mechanic and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Lincoln (UK), as well as language skills in Chinese, Spanish, French, English, and German, Damian brings a wealth of diverse experience.
In his role as Head of Engineering, Jens Damian will lead the engineering team and coordinate their work to ensure the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all our engineering projects. He will develop and implement strategies to enhance our technological capabilities, optimize product quality, and integrate current technology trends. Damian will also focus on developing his team's skills to encourage creativity and innovation and strengthen collaboration with other departments such as Production, Quality Management, and Research & Development. He is particularly responsible for the transition process of new developments between Engineering and Sales.
In addition to his duties in engineering, Jens Damian will also lead optimization projects and Kaizen events to continuously improve process efficiency. He will conduct regular analyses of our production and administrative processes to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions. He will also create precise instructions for our production processes and lead workshops and training in lean management to promote efficient and waste-free work methods.
