Memmingen, 24th Februrary 2023 – ACM Aerospace (Aircraft Cabin Modification GmbH) is donating 60,000 disposable gowns from its own medical production in Germany to the earthquake disaster area in Turkey. The urgently needed aid will be made available to regional clinics and hospitals for the optimal care of the injured. The action was carried out in cooperation with the non-profit organization Hasene International, which will ensure the transport and distribution.
After the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, ACM Aerospace activated its disaster emergency measures and prepared around 60,000 medically certified disposable gowns from its inventory for relief supplies within a few days.
The disposable gowns will be delivered to the earthquake disaster area in Turkey and will be immediately available to medical personnel in regional hospitals upon arrival. "The optimal equipment of personnel on site is an important part of providing care to the injured. That's why we decided to make part of our inventory available as emergency relief to the earthquake-stricken region," said Roger Hohl, Managing Director of ACM Aerospace.
The logistical handling of the direct truck transport from Germany to Turkey, as well as distribution on site, is being carried out in close cooperation with the non-profit organization Hasene International. The truck journey takes about 5 days and is carried out under diplomatic transport clearance to pass through borders without long waiting times.
In addition to its aviation core business, ACM Aerospace also has proven expertise in the production of medically certified protective gowns. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 6 million gowns have been produced, including for government clients such as the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) in Germany.
