ACM Aerospace announces the expansion of its service portfolio with specialized re-webbing and modification services for aviation restraint systems. With this new authorization, ACM Aerospace is now the only independent provider in Europe offering these services for pilot and cabin crew restraints (harnesses) as well as passenger seat belts (lap belts), including EASA Form 1 certification.

This new certification enables ACM Aerospace to support operators and maintenance organizations (MROs) with tailored solutions for a wide range of pilot, cabin crew, and passenger restraint systems. In addition to customer-specific modifications, the service portfolio includes in particular so-called re-webbing. This process involves the complete replacement of the webbing with new, aviation-approved material, while existing hardware components such as fittings, buckles, and adjusters are retained where deemed airworthy. This process restores full functionality and safety of the restraint system while offering a cost-effective alternative to new procurement.

By issuing EASA Form 1 documentation, ACM Aerospace ensures that all overhauled components comply with applicable airworthiness requirements and can be returned to service immediately. The objective of these new services is to provide operators with a flexible and fast alternative to the often long lead times of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Thanks to optimized internal processes, ACM Aerospace is able to achieve a significantly reduced turnaround time of approximately 14 days, thereby minimizing aircraft downtime.

Rao Yamana has extensive experience in managing aviation companies with EASA Part 21J & G as well as GCAA CAR M and CAR 145 approvals. Previously, he served as General Manager and Accountable Manager at renowned companies such as SOISA Aircraft Interiors and Belgraver Aircraft Interiors, where he was responsible for customer requirements, manufacturing quality, compliance, and overall supply chain management. Additionally, he held a senior position at Emirates, gaining valuable insights into the operational requirements of one of the world's leading airlines.

With Manfred Wäger, ACM Aerospace Switzerland gains an experienced expert in aviation technology. His extensive expertise in maintenance, CAMO management (Continuing Airworthiness), and technical project leadership makes him the ideal choice for the position of Technical Manager. Effective immediately, Manfred Wäger will take on this critical role, bringing over 30 years of experience in aviation technology and in-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance, CAMO management, and project management.

Most recently, Manfred Wäger worked at Zimex Aviation in Switzerland, where he served as Postholder Part M/CAMO. In this role, he played a pivotal role in establishing a CAMO office and took comprehensive responsibility for the technical management of the ATR fleet. Prior to this, he gained valuable experience in leadership positions, including at the Austrian regional airline InterSky, where he successfully built and managed the maintenance organization.

Manfred Wäger holds an EASA Part 66 License (Cat. B1.1/C) with type ratings for ATR, Dash-8, and Embraer aircraft. His expertise in developing maintenance programs and his passion for technical innovation will significantly strengthen the technical capabilities of ACM Aerospace Switzerland.
